Monday, May 17, 2004 OMG!! Blogger changed its look too? I been outa loop for so long? hain? Commenting inbuilt too? wah wah!I thought if I should update this blog. I vacillated between a 'yes, about time' and 'huh? whatever for'. When I was blogging so enthusiastically the whole last year, it was because...dunno why. Guess what I did for weekend last? I flew home. From Friday to Friday, eight blissful days of lazing about, brother bugging, sister nagging, mom pampering, following and verbal dueling, popsie leg-pulling and updating, relatives gossiping and the highlight: an impromptu dholki that started at half an hour before midnight and went on until 2 in the morning. When it rains, it pours. I had a whirlwind of a weekend before flying out a hands full week in Karachi and back now, yawning and reportedly, glowing. My best friend here got engaged. Lovely couple they made and Waj was such a radiant mangni ki dulhan and her fiance' finally got promoted to a bhai status. About time. Got another aizazi bhai, an absolute marvel, who has the darlingest of kids and the loveliest of wives (bhabi). They currently lug me around anywhere. And with such a good evenings full social life these days, blogging has to take a back seat. But then I realized, its not fair to ignore all those cyber pals who I have never met nor are there any chances of meeting but cared to comment and commiserate with me last blog. So here I am. Yestereve I went bowling. It was fun. Bhai and Waj were insistent that I bowl with the lightest of bowls. After a beginner's luck strike first time, all the remaining shots went left or right in the gutter. And so I ended with the lowest score Alhamdulillah. I think I would have scored more with my own technique of bowling cricket style than following tips from Bhai and Waj. Next time perhaps. What else? Loads actually but I've lost steam already. You think this do numberi entry qualifies as a proper blog update? Yawn. Excuse me now. I got to sew my face back, it's split in two because of continuous yawning. |
